{"id":5679,"date":"2021-10-28T20:36:10","date_gmt":"2021-10-28T07:36:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mhjc.school.nz\/?p=5679"},"modified":"2021-10-28T20:36:11","modified_gmt":"2021-10-28T07:36:11","slug":"new-assistant-principals-appointed-for-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mhjc.school.nz\/index.php\/2021\/10\/28\/new-assistant-principals-appointed-for-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"New Assistant Principals appointed for 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Congratulations to Mr Helgard Groenewald and Mr Jason McKimmon who will take up their new roles at the start of 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mr Groenewald is known by many in the community as our Sports Coordinator, a role he occupied for many years, until he became Acting Assistant Principal and more recently Dean of Mountains Wh\u0101nau. \u201cMr G\u201d, as he is affectionately known, has a wealth of leadership experience in these and other roles within the school after over 10 years of loyal service. Before joining MHJC he had taught at Tangaroa College and in South Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mr McKimmon is currently Dean of Coast Wh\u0101nau after joining our staff last year. Mr McKimmon is a highly regarded educator who gained valuable experience in Hong Kong where he was Head of the Physical Education and Health Department at an international school. It was there that he gained experience in the IB (International Baccalaureate) Middle Year Programme.
