{"id":5947,"date":"2022-02-24T17:28:33","date_gmt":"2022-02-24T04:28:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mhjc.school.nz\/?p=5947"},"modified":"2022-02-24T17:39:03","modified_gmt":"2022-02-24T04:39:03","slug":"covid-update-24-2-22","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mhjc.school.nz\/index.php\/2022\/02\/24\/covid-update-24-2-22\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID update 24\/2\/22"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I share extracts from a bulletin I received from the MoE today:<\/p>\n<p><em>You\u2019ll be aware that this afternoon the Government announced that New Zealand is moving into Phase 3 of our response to Omicron from 11:59pm tonight Thursday 24 February.<\/em><br \/><br \/><em>In Phase 3, only household contacts of confirmed cases are required to self-isolate. The isolation period will be 10 days. All other contacts of COVID-positive people are not required to isolate, but they will need to monitor for symptoms. Rapid antigen tests will become the primary testing method.\u00a0<\/em><br \/><br \/><em>This is a decision that has been made based on public health advice \u2013 the high vaccination rate across the country will do its job in protecting us from transmission during the next surge of cases.
