There are cases in Northland, Auckland, Manawatu, Nelson and Wellington, and we expect further cases across New Zealand.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Watch out for symptoms \u2013 fever, cough, runny nose, sore eyes, and a blotchy rash:<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/govt.us3.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=2f59fcd18a691d315b5a045cb&amp;id=7ccc8e980d&amp;e=c7dabc9322\"><em>Measles \u2013 Health New Zealand&nbsp;<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Anyone with measles symptoms must stay at home and should seek urgent advice by ringing their doctor or Healthline on 0800 611 116.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Anyone who is closely exposed to a measles case must stay at home. Heath New Zealand will provide individuals with advice on a case-by-case basis (including when they can leave quarantine at home).<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Health New Zealand is actively working with the schools that currently have measles cases.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>People are considered immune to measles after having two doses of a measles vaccine from 12 months or older, or if you have had measles before. For more information on measles immunity visit:<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/govt.us3.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=2f59fcd18a691d315b5a045cb&amp;id=67de9cfa5f&amp;e=c7dabc9322\"><em>Measles immunity \u2013 Health New Zealand<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Parents and caregivers should check their own and their child\/childrens\u2019 immunisation status through My Health Record:<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/govt.us3.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=2f59fcd18a691d315b5a045cb&amp;id=f02a248499&amp;e=c7dabc9322\"><em>My Health Record \u2013 Health New Zealand&nbsp;<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Anyone born between 1969 and 2004 may have only received one vaccine dose and might not be fully protected. It\u2019s safe to get extra doses.
