Poetry Tributes are Winners for ANZAC Day

Sunset over poppies field
We were very proud to learn today that Fauzaan Muhammed, 7W1 and Nikhilesh Prasad, 9W2 have been named as finalists for the Auckland Museum 2018 Lest We Forget Poetry Competition.  The judges were looking for poems that touched on this year’s theme of An Unprecedented Trial.  Those that stood out took unusual perspectives or told stories that were somehow fresh.  Our congratulations to Fauzaan and Nikhilesh for meeting this brief and for being invited to present their poems at the Auckland Museum on Anzac Day.
