Our MHJC Fiji Outreach Group have arrived safely back home.They spent time visiting local schools, where they donated books and helped with planting cabbages and coriander. They also assisted the local community with a roadside cleanup. The final Thursday of Term 2 was MHJC's annual Cross Country event. Our Fiji Outreach Group have had an amazing couple of days immersing themselves into the Fijian culture.They have visited the Nadi Temple and a Fijian village. They've explored markets, travelled on the Bula Bus Ride, flew down a zip line, and hiked to a beautiful waterfall.The group also spent time with residents of the Golden Age Home and helped with some cleaning. Yesterday we celebrated success at MHJC during our end of term Celebration Assembly. Congratulations to all our champions!We also had a special farewell to Mr Naddy Naidoo who departed MHJC at the end of Term 1. Mr Naidoo is very well known in our school community and was one of the foundation staff at Mission Heights Junior College. He dedicated 17 years of service to MHJC and will be missed.
